ABOUT THIS DESTINATION
Until the 1960's, the world hardly knew Ft. Lauderdale existed. A low-budget Hollywood film entitled "Where the Boys Are" changed all of that. Since then, the city has become a popular spring break destination. The draw? Beautiful beaches, a big city, once-in-a-lifetime fishing opportunities, awe-inspiring cruises, and a strong Latin influence.

Ft. Lauderdale's extensive canal system covers approximately 10 miles, as a result it is often referred to as the "Venice of America."
